This is another great spot to try local Arequipenean food. La Capitana is known as one of the best 'picanterias' in town. They are famous for their delicious Rocoto Relleno with Pastel de Papa (stuffed chili with potato pie). It is also a great place for drinking the local "Arequipeña" beer in the afternoon and ending your meal with a special dessert: queso helado (frozen cheese). This tasty ice cream is actually made of milk with cinnamon.
