Baigongfang
Baigongfang literally means “hundred #crafts house” and was opened as a government effort to preserve China’s rich artistic heritage. Here, you can see many of the folk and palatial arts being practiced: intricate paper cuttings, clay dioramas, inside painting, engraved lacquer, wood carvings, and cloisonné. The building also hosts demonstrations and workshops. The fourth floor has a large exhibit dedicated to #silk where visitors can see a hands-on demonstration of the production process. Although the building is named hundred workshops house the ateliers are the working spaces of professionals, and as such ateliers are open at their discretion.
