Many locals claim Sunayama as one of the best beaches in all of Japan and you can't really blame them. Gorgeous at any time of day but breathtaking at sunset. As you walk down onto the beach from the parking lot above, go right to the cave at the end of the beach. You can stash your things there in the case of a sudden tropical downpour that'll only last 10 minutes anyway.
