One of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World, as determined by the American Society of Civil Engineers, thus dam was the largest constructed in the world until construction of the Three Gorges Dam in China - considered the largest in terms of installed capacity. However this dam currently holds the world record for generated power, set in 2016.
