What you see today is the newly built mosque, funded by Iran in the late 90s. There used to be a mosque on this side, but just like any religious venues, it was destroyed during the Soviet rule. Blue Mosque is the only functioning mosque in Yerevan. Exterior, decorated with tiles, the interior is more modest, with tiles dome, small minaret, and a garden with flower beds and fountains. Do note that visitors are expected to dress appropriately - no bare shoulders or legs, while women should wear a scarf.
