I was laid up with a nasty stomach bug the day we had planned to visit this museum but my wife ventured on and came back raving about this place. They’ve got the usual collection of native dress, handicrafts and objects of daily life but from the photos I saw, I doubt there is a more fetching and colorful form of folk art than Slovenian painted beehive panels. Who knew such a thing even existed? I’m not sure if I’ll ever make it back to Ljubljana, but if I do, this will be the first place I’m heading.
