This is the largest and tallest stone Buddha statue in the world! An impressive and must do tourist attraction in Chengdu. In retrospect I think the best way to see it would be to go on the boat first where you turn a corner and are inundated with this impressive stone carving in cliff along the river. After whether the park and walk to easy steps up to see its head up close for a different kind of scale (and visit the temple at the top!). Then you can walk the stairs down and back up to get the complete 180 view. Very cool. #art #architecture #statue #history #photography #mountains
