The old entrance to the Nis fortress still stands. Head down from the city center passing the mall on your left, and you'll reach it in 2 minutes. Once you enter, walk about 20 feet, then take the stairs going up to get a view of the town. I personally enjoyed strolling through the garden which is quite nice and peaceful. The entrance is free. There are benches where you can have a snack as well as a few cafes. #serbia #nis #statue #history #free
