Timeless Delft is one of the more popular destinations in the Netherlands and for good reason. It’s just dripping with artistic and historical drama, particularly for its association for one of the greatest of all painters, Johannes Vermeer (a visit to Vermeer Centrum Delft is strongly recommended). This is a place where the construction of the “New” Church was begun in 1381 and the views from its tower are spectacular.
