We went to Nyungwe on a day-trip from Kogali, and it wasn't ideal as it didn't give us enough time to appreciate the nature. The bus drive from Kigali is 5 hours each way. So, unfortunately, most of the time was spent on the road. We did the canopy walk your with ECO tours. The tour is made of about 45 minutes hiking in the rainforest to the canopy walk. As they were renovating the canopy, we could only cross one of three. For me that was more than enough as I was scared (and not prepared to be scared). Then we hiked back the same way but uphill.
