Take the red line outbound from Park Street to JFK/Umass and walk about ten minutes to reach Carson Beach. Located in the South End, this beach is completely free to enter. The environment there has a murkiness to it that I LOVE, but not everyone does. That fact, in combination with this beach being in a tucked-away location, means that as an added bonus it's usually not very crowded. Carson beach is a great place to picnic, read, tan, or swim and beat the heat. #Boston #outdoor #beach
