Wilderness
Wilderness is one of the smallest coastal towns on the Garden Route, yet one of the most popular. Only half an hour from George, this seaside resort town boasts various water sports. Wilderness National Park is a perfect location for hiking as well as canoeing on the Touw River. You can take the King Fisher Trail that will lead to a very refreshing waterfall. The western tip of the park is home to a phenomenal landscape called Map of Africa, so-called due to the Kaaimans River Gorge flowing through a valley and creating a shape like Southern Africa. The eastern end of the National park is perfect sunset watching the sunset. If you visit Island Lake Holiday Resort, you can try various water sports like water skiing and canoeing. #wilderness #gardenroute #southafrica #roadtrip #canoeing #beachtown #coastaltowns
