Art Museum Zambaccian
The Art Museum Zambaccian is housed in a stylish villa located in a residential area of central Bucharest. Here, the collector and art critique Krikor Zambaccian has created one of the richest and most valuable art collections in Romania. In the 1940s, he specifically built this house to display 19th and 20th-century paintings, sculptures, graphics, and furniture of Romanian and French art. Even from the beginning, he opened his house for art lovers who come to see the exhibits once a week. On the occasion of his nomination as a member of the Romanian Academy in 1947, Zambaccian donated his private art collection and the house to the Romanian state. #romania #bucharest #museum
