Place Saint André is a very popular spot in the city center of Grenoble. Locals also refer to it as 'place du tribunal' or 'place du trib', due to the proximity of the old courthouse. There are several historic buildings and bars on this square and in summer it is very popular with students. At the center you'll see the statue of 'Chevalier Bayard', the knight without fear and beyond reproach, a 16th century local hero.
