I hate to admit it, but I seemed definitely more tepid in my enthusiasm for the Tate Modern than the record setting throngs who excitedly pass through here. Maybe it was the jet lag or the lack of any special exhibit that tickled my fancy or maybe it just couldn’t possibly live up to all the hype... But having said that, this is still an obligatory stop on any art lover’s circuit. They possess an enormous number of works that are in constant rotation and have hosted some absolutely stunning exhibitions in the past by many of the 20th century’s greatest masters. If I’d been there on another date, I’d probably be raving about it..
