Hamra is right in the center of everything. It does get really crowded since most schools are around that area and the traffic there does get too much during rush hour (3 pm-6 pm). It is a very casual area where you can go have food, drink, shop or just walk around in. No dress up needed. I personally go there during nighttime just to avoid traffic.
