Farther north from the more famous National Parks is this state park right outside Crescent City touching the border of Oregon. I’ve camped here every time I’ve driven from Seattle to LA (it’s a lot of times) and though it’s never been during the height of summer, I’ve always had the campground to myself. The sites are right on the Smith River (looks like a good swimming spot when it’s warm) under the giant trees. There are plenty of hiking trails in the park also. #camping #photography #swimming
