Hidden behind ‘Diagon Alley’, or Candlemaker Row, is Greyfriar’s Church. Another classically eerie structure, the building is surrounded famously by its Kirkyard (or graveyard). Although this has never been confirmed, many of the names carved into the gravestones here are rumoured to have inspired some of the characters’ names, including the likes of both Professor McGonagall and Voldemort’s real name, Tom Riddle.
