Al-Azhar Mosque
Al Azhar is a Mosque and one of the best and earliest Universities to teach Islamic studies in the world. Al Azhar Mosque is a serene place of worship built in the Fatimid Era in 970 AD, as one of the earliest mosques in Egypt as the Muslim conquest of Egypt was taking place. Alongside the mosque and the university, there is also the Azhar park, one of the largest parks in Cairo, a city that lacks much greenery. In the Azhar Park, you can get a much-needed dose of nature and fresh air, perhaps while having a nice picnic with friends. #park #mosque #history Photo by Jon Ramlan via Pixabay
