In downtown Fairbanks there are many historic sites from the Gold Rush days. The Golden Heart Plaza has a nice walkway and a Native Alaskan statue right in front of the Chena River that makes beautiful scenery, good spot for a photo op and a nice spot to have lunch. Take a short walk around to the other side of the river by crossing the bridge to find the historic Immaculate Conception Parish. #walkaround #river #statue #free
