Most people do the Valle de Cocora hike in Salento to see the tallest palm trees in the world and it is well worth it. The hike is great. BUT if you really want to see what these palm trees are made of go with Salento cycling located just across from the plantation house hostel. They take you on the most beautiful ride to a virtually unknown valley filled with infinite more palms than Valle de Cocora. Absolutely amazing and you'll have the place to yourself. The biking is all downhill. They take you up in a truck and it's for all abilities and the guys that run it are great. Go go go before the secret is out about this special place #extreme #hiking
