Mouse and poem
On the south side of the old bridge, just next to the monkey statue, you'll find this tiny sculpture of 2 mouses next to a poem. Touching the mouses is supposed to bring you fertility. The poem is by Martin Zeiler written in 1632, reads :
Why are you staring at me?
Haven't you seen the old Monkey of Heidelberg?
Look to and fro,
There you will find many more of my kind.
