Really fun alternate to the usual zoo scene. The Kobe Animal Kingdom has a bunch of exhibits where you can get very, very close to some animals (like red pandas and sloths) and even some areas where you can go ahead and pet the animals (your standard petting zoo fare like rabbits, but also kangaroos and deer). There's also a bird show and a dog show, but I found those a bit underwhelming. The buffet option for lunch, however, I wholeheartedly approved of. Good place to go to with kids or if you just feel the need to get close to nature for a bit.
