Krasnaya Sloboda
This is the town created for what were formerly known as the Highland Jews in Azerbaijan. The town was built across the river from the Quba region, where Jews could settle in peace and without the fear of discrimination, clashes with neighboring states, and retribution. This was more than two centuries before the World War II.
Today, the town still remains intact, but it's becoming less and less populated. Therefore, the beautiful architectural buildings rich in history are losing its charm.
