Christchurch Botanic Gardens Tour
In 1863 this garden started with planting of a single oak tree. The Botanic Garden today is spread over an impressive 52 acres of native and exotic plants - a formal rose garden, a pinetum, herbaceous borders, rock gardens and conservatories. Each season transforms the Botanic Gardens, spring fills it with daffodils and bluebells, summer blooms of fragrant roses, autumn transforms this space into piles of crispy golden leaves, and winter fills it with mist. The World Peace Bell, one of 21 in the world, was welcomed to the Botanic Gardens in 2005. Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens receive a combined visitor total of over 1.5 million annually. #playground #kidslearning #activekids #familyfriendly #park #photography #views #hiking #garden #nature
