Angel island is an incredible retreat from the urban landscape of the San Francisco Bay area. A quick ferry ride from the Embarcadero downtown or Tiburon makes this destination incredibly easy to get to you. Hiking, biking, history, sailing, kayaking, and any other activity you can think of are all available. Circumnavigate the island on bicycles and ditch them in the woods for a relatively quick hike to the top of Mount to Livermore for un beatable 360° views.
