Right in front of the National Palace, there is a memorial for Benito Juarez. As you possible noticed, his name is everywhere. He is still very famous today in Mexico for having been the first indigenous president in Mexico not long after Mexico became independent from Spain. The building was his former house and most of it is preserved today intact for tourists to visit. #architecture #statue #free #history
