Stuart Higdon's experience in Badin

Morrow Mountain State Park
Spent the weekend camping at the park. It is only an hour from Charlotte. The park has hiking and camping. It fronts Lake Tillery so there is fishing and hourly boat rentals. The park was well maintained. Trails were well marked. I spent my time hiking and exploring the park. The park is covered in rhyolite rocks, it did not take long to find flake tools from early native peoples. Definitely a good day trip destination. Picture was view from the camp site.
