Waterfall Tsitsikamma
Welcome to the biggest nature reserve of the Garden Route. Tsitsikamma is an unusual name, so you might be wondering where it comes from. It was a word of Khoi origin meaning "place of abundant sparkling water. Indeed, you will find yourself surrounded by bodies of water, doing activities by or in the water. The park stretches along the coast for 80 kilometres between Nature's Valley and Storms River, offering several hiking options. - Otter Trail is 44 km long and takes 4-5 days to complete. - The Waterfall Trail covers the first 3 km of the Otter Trail and ends up at a lovely waterfall. - The Suspension Bridge Trail is a coastal hike across the suspension bridge over the Storms River. A further short but steep hike takes you to a gorgeous lookout point with views of the river mouth. - The Blue Duiker Trail goes through inland scrub forest and ends up at another lookout point where you can spot whales and dolphins. Besides hiking, guided tours will provide the opportunity for adventure sports like kayaking, zipline around the river and even segway tours through the small nearby villages. #nationalpark #nature #hiking #hike #southafrica #gardenroute #roadtrip
