Houghton's Pond is a great day trip for the whole family. The picnic area has grills, a concession stand with fried foods and icecream, and post-swim showers. Additionally, there are lifeguards staffed on the little beach area of the pond, where the water is probably four and a half feet at its deepest. The area is surrounded by beautiful hiking trails.
