Rent a car (no 4x4 required) and head to Kruger National Park for a mix of self-drive and guided tours of this beautiful reserve. There are a number of options to stay within the park however they can be quite expensive. I recommend to stay at nearby Marloth Park with the fabulous "Kruger Inn Backpackers". They have lovely home style accommodation set within Marloth Park ~ watch giraffe and wart hog roam around as you sit back at Kruger Inn, without the price tag of Kruger. We chose to self-drive only, however a range of affordable options can be arranged through the owners, Alison & Cor.
