This basilica was better than anticipated. The theme of the painted walls reminded me of the downstairs of Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. It is less grand than most European cathedrals I think it is worth a quick visit if you are in the area. We happened to go right before a scheduled free tour that included a lot of history and enhanced our enjoyment of this beautiful space.
