Kaali kraater
A short drive from the main town of Kuressaare you will find one of Estonia's rarest natural wonders - a huge meteorite crater. Estimated to have fallen to earth between 7500 - 7600 years ago, the meteorite broke up in the atmosphere, hitting earth with the estimated explosion force of an atomic bomb. This is the largest crater found, meauring 22m in depth with a diameter of 110m. It is said to be the 8th largest crater in the world. On site you can find an information board and entry to the crater is free. #crater #meteorite #nature #meteorcrater #naturalwonders #kaali #saaremaaisland #saaremaa #estonia #offthebeatenpath #photography #familyfriendly #kidslearning
