Visit this interesting site near Maras where approximately 400 families produce 600 tons of salt (pink salt, bath salts etc) per year. Entry is just 10PEN and allows you to walk amongst some of the plots of salt. Also be sure to have a taste of the warm spring water that is bubbling out of the mountain to provide the salt in this area.
