You can't visit Portland without stopping at Salt and Straw. Handmade ice cream with unique flavors, including seasonal ones. One of my current favorites is their pear and blue cheese. Plan to stand in line. Every time I have visited the scope shop, the line wraps around the block. Also, you may want to bring an umbrella, unless you want to fit into the Portland scene.
