On the Chilean side of Tierra del Fuego, around 6 hours drive north of Ushuaia, is Useless Bay or Bahia Inutil, where there is a King penguin colony. Apparently this is the only place to see them outside of Antarctica. Around thigh-high, they have white bellies and yellow markings around their face. The viewing points are a distance from them but they are easily seen and high-powered binoculars/telescope give up close views. #chile #kingpenguin #tierradelfuego
