The NGV is an awesome free art gallery located just south of Flinders Street Station, so it’s really easy to get to. A huge venue, I have been twice and still haven’t seen everything yet!! With art ranging from ancient Egypt and Mayan art to portraits of ye old European nobles to Picasso and a huge self portrait of Andy Warhol, PLUS lots of furniture, sculptures and interactive installations, you’re going to have fun no matter what your tastes.  These huge skulls are placed interestingly after a wander through a few halls filled with classical oil paintings, which makes it all the more shocking.
