Atop the skyscraper, colloquially known as the ‘Walkie-Talkie’ due to its shape, is the unique sky garden. This public space is accessed from a dedicated entrance at ground floor level. There are an assortment of bars and restaurants spread over multiple levels at the top, however feel free to enjoy the space as a public park as it was designed. Lush tropical vegetation reaches up to the curved glazed ceiling and the ability to walk around on all sides provides a fascinating and diverse panorama from the Shard and Southbank on one side, to Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf on the other. After dark the skyline takes on an extra dimension, however beware access is generally limited to those wanting to visit the Skypod bar only rather than the general public.
