La Rochelle Cathedral
Overlooking Place de Verdun is the Cathédrale Saint-Louis de La Rochelle. Situated at the edge of the Old Town, and dating from the mid-18th Century, the interior architecture and impressive stained glass windows offer a real sense of history. A worthwhile stop-off point even if you are not religiously minded.
