Fen Court
Nestled amongst the skyscrapers at the heart of the City of London lies London’s newest roof terrace. From an unassuming entrance at ground level, you are quickly whisked up to the top. What makes this new public space unique is that it is completely open to the elements, and its height is very much amongst the London skyline, rather than looking down on it. As well as panoramic views out to Canary Wharf and across to the Shard, there are equally great views up to the Gherkin and an array of other nearby buildings. Befitting a public space rather than purely a viewing platform, there are plenty of places to sit and relax amongst an eclectic array of lovely planting as well as a gently flowing water feature. When planning your visit, worth bearing in mind the rather restrictive opening hours, closed at weekends and after 9 in the evenings during the summer months.
