Tortuga Bay
This is likely to be the first place you visit in the Galápagos if you fly into Santa Cruz island. A mile walk from town leads you to a pristine white sand beach teeming with marine iguanas, which you will observe both surfing in the waves and sunbathing on the shore. If you walk to the end of the beach you can find a perfectly calm, perfectly turquoise spot to do some swimming and sunbathing of your own. It is a perfect introduction to the Galápagos Islands.
