Not the trailhead, but the destination. Alum Cave Bluffs is midway to the summit of Mount LeConte but it's the end of the trail for many. Much of this hike is easy, with the hardest parts being the log bridges crossing Alum Creek, a couple of instances of elevation exposure on the trail, and a few steep spots.
