Volcano Maderas (or renamed by me “muddy Maderas”) is a good hike on Isla de Ometepe on Lake Nicaragua. This climb is less steep than Volcan Concepcion, but still offers a challenge as you hike through the varied terrain of the cloud forest. My favourite part was getting to hike inside of the volcano (its dormant!) where you reach a lagoon where you can wash up or swim (should you choose, it’s cold!!) #hiking #climbing #swimming
