No trip to Melbourne would be complete without a visit to the neighbourhood of Fitzroy. Basically a hipster paradise to the max, you’ll find every type of eclectic bar/restaurant/shop/cafe/street art here. This is what happens when hipsters have money. But don’t get me wrong, this is not an area of affluence, and you will see that the area is home to a lot of homeless drug addicts and alcoholics as well as the ‘richster hipsters’. Wander down Brunswick street to see the most impressive street art of the city, and be spoilt for choice on where to park yourself for coffee, food or drinks. My favourite has to be Naked for Satan, with 50cent pintxos (!!!!) and amazing rooftop views over Fitzroy and on to the glittering skyscrapers of the CBD.
