The Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
There are not many countries where you can find a museum about the current president... but there is one in Kazakhstan !
The Museum of the First President of Kazakhstan (established in 2005) is dedicated to Nursultan Nazarbaiev, who was indeed the first president of Kazakhtan when the country gained its independance from USSR in 1991. He resigned after almost 30 years of being in power, in march 2019.
So it not surprising to have a museum of a living person, if you're used to walk in Astana's streets, where there are portraits of him on every boulevards. The capital city has also been renamed Nursultan after him, as an homage after he resigned.
So if you want to learn more about this man, all his life is displayed in this museum ! You can also learn more about the formation of the country and its symbols.
