One of the things I love about Palm Springs is that you can spend your morning lounging by the pool soaking up some rays and your afternoon tossing snowballs around, with very little effort. The quickest way accomplish this feat is to hitch a ride on the aerial tram. It takes you from the bottom of the Coachella Valley to the top of San Jacinto peak in about 12 minutes, passing through five (yes, five) different biomes on the way up. Needless to say, views at the top are utterly jaw-dropping.
