The ruins are of a Huari administrative city, row after row of housing, walls crumbling into jagged peaks rising above the tall dry grass. Unlike most Inca sites, it’s built in the valley and grasslands. As this place is rather I visited by tourists and difficult to reach by public transport take a taxi.
