Royal Observatory Greenwich
One of London’s most historic spots also affords one of its greatest views. The home of the Royal Greenwich Observatory and where the Prime Meridian line passes through, this prominent spot on Greenwich Hill affords a tremendous view across the Capital’s skyline. In the foreground is Greenwich Park and the grand Royal Naval College, with its regal columns and symmetrical lines. Beyond is the River Thames and the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf. The contrast of history and modernity provides an original insight into London’s evolution as a global city.
