McWay Falls is probably the most famous waterfall in Big Sur, and you'll understand why once you see it. This 80-foot fall flows straight into the ocean at high tide, and is part of Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The beach is closed to visitors due to erosion, and the full lookout is often closed during the rainy season, but you can still park for free along the west edge of Highway 1 and then walk back along the side of the highway to see the waterfall from above, no matter the season or weather. #bigsur #views #waterfalls
