Croatian Museum of Naïve Art
The Croatians call it “naive art”, most of the rest of us would probably label it “folk art”, but it’s something a little more than just that. The most common medium represented in this museum (although there are others) is painting done directly on glass and it frequently takes a somewhat dark turn in both style and subject matter. It’s all really quite intriguing and left me craving more than this relatively small collection had to offer.
